Its been a while sins a posted any thing new, so here is a quick update
I am in the process of working on lots of new interesting saxophone techniques to do with multi phonics and overtone patterns. This is a massive study butI am very excited about these new sounds and feel they will have an important part to play in the sound of my next project.
Things with my quartet have been quite sins our summer tour. We are all busy musicians so I prefer to get a block of good gigs lined up rather then bits and pieces here and there so I am currently working on sorting some festival dates for next year.
I have a gig on Paris on the 25th Nov. with doctor das (the guy behind the Asian dub foundation & dub colossus) he wants to combine heavy dub grooves with the more dissonant and textural side of free jazz. His music has an amazing energy and so I am very much looking forward to exploring this new area.
Also there is a new Metamorphic album in the pipeline, which we will be recording at the beginning of next year.
